So what have I been Doing?

Well, I have moved house. We sold quite fast and are currently happily nestled in a rental house that suits just fine for now. I still have a sewing room but maybe not for long. We may have found the right house to suit our needing less money lifestyle (read as less pressure and stress lifestyle). Just waiting to see if it goes through. It will not have a room to dedicate to sewing, but I will manage. I did before and I will again. I actually love finding clever and innovative ways to store stuff and use my space. Keep you posted.

I have been doing some making in all this time but not sharing. How mean!

I have my first grandchild imminent any minute......literally. My daughter was due on Thursday so it really will not be long. She doesn't believe me, poor thing. I rustled up a cot quilt and bumper set for the nursery and a matching fleecy pillow. Hope you like. The beautiful knitted shawl was made by my very talented Mum who has been knitting some just lovely things for baby.

She also asked me to make some fabric buckets with some of her fabric. I love this colour combo.

There have been some crocheted blankets too but I quite forgot to photograph them. I will next time I am there.

Until next time folks. I have so enjoyed writing this blog again. Now that a lot of life's hiatus has calmed, maybe I can get back to it. Next time I shall share my non baby crochet.

How About Layaway???

So I was having a think about making it easier for folks to have the items they want.  I appreciate some of my items are not pocket money purchases, and for me the offer of paying bit by bit will help me make the choice to get that lovely thing I just must have, rather than going without and finding it gone 2 pay days later.  Quite a lot of  items on etsy are one offs, so they are never going to come back in stock.  My things are no exception.  I like to keep it unique, all part of the charm I believe.

So I though I would offer the option of `layaway`.  The way to do this is, convo me from the shop listing saying you would like to do layaway and I can reserve the said item in your name for the cost of 1st payment plus shipping.  Then a further 1 or 2 listing payments to equal the total value of the item will be set up and once they and the shipping is all square, I will send out the cutey of your choice.  This ensures someone else does not get your favourite and cost no extra.  It would all be agreed in the convo so you know exactly what you are doing.

So, does that sound like a good idea.  Never too early to be squirrelling away for the festive season you know.  Santa gets so busy, he will be elated you have made a start.

Finally, some stock finished.

I spent the last week or so finishing up some animals which for one reason or another never seemed to get sewn up. The result being a bit like busses. Three at once having not seen one for ages!

First for your delight is Ruthie. She has a hint of Christmas I think but not in an `in your face, put her away in January` kind of Christmas.
She can be found here

Next, this canoodling couple are Ellen and Ethan. Although they are pictured together here they are listed separately here and here. Aren`t they just adorable?

I have sold quite a few of the horses outside of etsy, so now my stock shelf looks more knitteds as a few months ago it was more horses. Dont forget everything can be made to order so do convo me, or simply, in the case of the horses, purchase a custom listing and then let me know what colours you want.

Cutey Critters open for Business

Well the new shop is open! Its not finished really but whats the point of having stock sat in your studio when it can be off to deserving homes. I still need a banner but its a start anyway. What do you all think? Here a couple more I finished since we last spoke.
As promised, giveaway coming very soon. Please go tell your friend as I think these make really good boy presents. Lets be honest, they can be very tricky to buy for. For more pictures pop off to the shop and take a peek.

Eloise

Update to previous post, sorry not in poem form. It would seem I am only inspired by disaster!
Problems rectified and Eloise is done. She sadly is spoken for and I might have a problem parting with her.
I am building a little list of folk wanting to adopt my ellies. Please do let me know if you would like one. Every one will be unique, I do not like to make any the same as before(just like people really). Each one takes me around a week. Not solid knitting you understand. I unfortunately have to go to work and clean the house occasionally. I will be able to tell you an approximation of when your new arrival will be due.

Elspeth is Ready for her Close Up

Well she has taken a while to get right but her is `Elspeth` my very first elephant. I am so pleased with her I am really not sure whether she can go in the shop because I dont want to part with her. Her dress is made from Debbie Bliss Baby cashmerino. A whole ball I`ll have you know. Our Elspeth has expensive taste in clothing.

Now what next? Another ellie or a panda? Oh the decisions.
