Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my readers. Hope you all had a good one.

Well after all this time I finally have a picture of me I am willing to share. I have recently had my haircut, it was way longer before. Its not too bad so I thought it was time to share. Just need to get the avatar changed now I think.

Eloise

Update to previous post, sorry not in poem form. It would seem I am only inspired by disaster!
Problems rectified and Eloise is done. She sadly is spoken for and I might have a problem parting with her.
I am building a little list of folk wanting to adopt my ellies. Please do let me know if you would like one. Every one will be unique, I do not like to make any the same as before(just like people really). Each one takes me around a week. Not solid knitting you understand. I unfortunately have to go to work and clean the house occasionally. I will be able to tell you an approximation of when your new arrival will be due.

A Knitters Tale of Woe

Here begins a tale of woe
A journey on which no knitter should go.
Having knitted many rabbits and bears
A knitter embarked on the 2nd elephant with ears.
She stuffed and stitched but soon became
aware said ears were not the same!
The left was smaller than the right
and tho the knitter tried with all her might,
she could not make it look the best
and would have to give up her quest.
There was no other course of action,
than to perform some minor subtraction.
She unpicked the larger with what she thought was care
to replace with a smaller ear.
Then, oh no, utter disaster!
Unravelling fast and faster.
One wrong snip, the hole was forming
on the head till it was gaping and yawning!
The vocabulary used was both graphic and vast!
The entire family were aghast!
Two evenings clicking, gone to waste,
No she could not `just stick and paste`!
One ear was salvaged, tea was made.
Salving nerves so cruelly frayed.
The knitter started on a brand new head
which she would finish before going to bed.
The lesson learned, `check before you sew`,
or on this tedious journey you also will go.

I have just popped a couple of new bags in the MISI shop. They are both £15 and still come in under £20 with shipping. If you bought both they would be even less. Just think, 2 birds, one stone. Just use the link to your right to take you to the shop.

Phew, alchemy request finished

Firstly,Happy Thanksgiving to all my US bloggy buddies. Enjoy your holiday folks.

I recently had an alchemy request accepted. My client specifically wanted to have knitted up a particular pattern by my favourite bunny designer `Susan Hickson` from the Mary Janes Tearoom series. Imagine my delight when I spotted that request. She decided to have different colours, and here she is. As she is not mine to name I have called her Pink Daisy. The pics are a little dark as I have doing my midnight oil buring again. Thank goodness for Gale Hayman eyelift gel is all I can say. I must stop staying up so late.

Dont forget there are a few more all ready and rearing to go off to you. Just scroll down to the last post for details.

Too Cute not to share

I have been knitting away furiously and have nothing of mine to show yet, but, I just had to show you this picture of my nephew dressed up as Michael Jackson for children in need. I think my sister in law outdid herself dont you? I miss those days where my kids were young enough to do that stuff with.

Next time a custom bunny and a new ellie I hope.

Its a Factory Here

I recently had a custom order for 10 little bags for little girls. I have never done this conveyor belt type of production before and its a bit different to starting a bag and finishing it all in one session.
I think they are really cute. Now I just have to iron them( yes they are a little crinkly, but the daylight would not wait for me to iron) ship to my customer. Thank goodness the posties called off their strikes.

Now for some more knitting

Domestic Goddessness

Not sure if that's a word, but, well, it is now cos I just said it.
Yesterday was the last day of my half-term holiday (I work in a school so I break when the kids do). In addition to my fabulous pumpkin pie I made on Sunday, I made chutney and my Christmas cake yesterday. Could not put it in yesterdays post as I did not want to steal Elspeth`s thunder.

Also at the weekend I spent a very enjoyable day in town with my sister-in-law spending my birthday money and buying some Christmas presents.
How long did I take smelling the Yankee Candles in the new, very teeny shop with only Yankee in it? Ages, I can tell you. I had decided that I was only buying one jar and it took a long while to decide which one. I ended up with `Farmers Market` and could not resist a beautiful shade to go on the top. I think it looks great.

Goes so well with my other things but did wonder if its overkill and to move the pumpkin now halloween has past. Only to the kitchen, it looks cute in there.

Elspeth is Ready for her Close Up

Well she has taken a while to get right but her is `Elspeth` my very first elephant. I am so pleased with her I am really not sure whether she can go in the shop because I dont want to part with her. Her dress is made from Debbie Bliss Baby cashmerino. A whole ball I`ll have you know. Our Elspeth has expensive taste in clothing.

Now what next? Another ellie or a panda? Oh the decisions.

New Little Bags for Girls

I have nearly finished Elspeth but I realised her dress was a bit short for the cold weather so I am making some knickerbockers. So you will have to bear with me.

This afternoon I was working on a sample for a possible supplier. The brief was for little handbags for little girls. Right up my street as I am still a little girl at heart. If not in the mirror sadly.

This is what I came up with for style. The client will be having her choice of fabric so this one is up for grabs at the very reasonable bloggy price of £10 if anyone would like it.

Birthday Goodies and some Floristry

Well I think the heart of the blogger issues are deep rooted in a conflict between blogger and AOL. They have been fighting I think, because if I do my posting on internet explorer I have no issues, headaches or well um swearing! I have some catching up to do.

Last week I had a birthday (no not telling which, I am at that point where I try to forget).
My work college bought me some lovely gluten free fudge chocolates and a bunch of magenta carnations. When I got home I realised all my vases where a bit on the large side so I popped into the garden. I did not expect to find much to fill it out with, but look what I came up with. I was rather pleased.

I was a lucky girl and have a shiny new purple i-pod nano and the most luxurious half length dressing gown from House of Fraser. I have also a cd I wanted for ages (Disturbed, Indestructible. So so good). In addition a voucher and some spends. So I will be off down the town at some point. Thinking maybe a nice big Yankee Candle jar. Oh that will be a long sniff and decide session.

Now its half term and I am looking forward to some crafting. Although I have some housework to catch up on. Not so great, but it must be done.

Next time I shall reveal my first `elephant`. Elspeth is off the needles but needs sewing up. She has given me achy hands as I have been so keen to finish her.

Where have I been, you may ask. Well the truth is, nowhere. I have tried to blog a couple of times but Mr.Blogger has been up to naughty tricks and all I got was error messages and unable to post a thing. Well now its seems he has been told off and sorted out so here goes.

You remember `Tess`, my first experimental Teddy? Well let me introduce you to `Tilly` her sister. She has a few tweaks on her older sibling and I am more pleased with the result. The question is, do I accept that everyone is different, even teds, or do I perform atheistic surgery (ie, off with her head and re-knit it). I think I will put it down to the former and not put her through that. She is not exactly ugly.

A quick reminder of Tess

Benjy is on the Front Page!

No he has not been fooling around with Katie Price - as if!
He is however on the front page of MISI. I listed Robbie too as Susan said it was ok because I have `done my own thing`.

New new new

I decided to change my background today to reflect the change in seasons. Hope you like it. I also changed the name as although the Perfect Little Purse Company is my main crafting focus, I have realised that there is room for all my other things which fluctuate in intensity according to what needs to be done and how I feel about what I am doing at the time.

My handbags remain mostly in my etsy shop and the little knitted fellas can be found in MISI. I am happy to list either in either if you have happy warmer fuzzier thoughts about a particular site.

Some (and I usually say) are only available `locally` due to pattern requirements and I am happy to sell directly. Just contact me via this blog. This applies to a lot of the newer bunnies.

Also remember that if you are local, some of my products are stocked at `The Wishing Tree` in Long Stratton in Norfolk. Why not pop in and see Olivia.

New Knitty Buddies

I have to confess the sewing has gone a bit astray lately. I have been getting ahead with my Christmas cards and the knitting has become a tad obsessive. May I present Roly Rabbit all dressed up for a walk in the woods in his walking boots and scarf.

Next is Tess the Teddy. I have heavily adapted the Primrose pattern from Mary Janes Tearoom to give me a bear and designed her little pinafore dress. Its so comforting to start on the Christmas stuff.

Some Bag Production, Finally

Remember I told you about the custom order? Well here is the finished article. The pocket on the front is a hand embroidered piece done by the customer, just lovely neat work. She asked me to use it as a pocket on a black bag. I made it up in a lovely soft needle cord which I felt suited the regal feel of this piece. Its wonderfully soft and `poomfy` (I think you get what I mean by that, just don't now how else to describe it) as I have interlined it. Really hope she likes it.

I had a bit of time to spare before the evening meal so I knocked up this shoe bag for my little nephew who is starting part time school later this month. I can believe that. He is too small. Or am I just getting old !!!!!!!!!!!!

These were the first bags made in my new warm craft room inside the house. Here a few pics. They do not do it justice. It is huge. I have room to get my pilates machine out if I ever make myself again. Don't know why I haven't because I love it when I do but I just seem to have so much other stuff to do. Think I need a new school year resolution. Don't worry about the little railway carriage. It is going to be made into a summer house. More on that later.
